It’s a good idea to remind yourself occasionally of the purpose(s) of your blog. The blog was to be a replacement for the dusty piles of recipe clippings that accumulated, and form a journal of meals that we enjoyed. Yet instinctively printed the recipe for Creme Egg Pudding while browsing the newspaper, then remembered that dusty clippings should be a thing of the past. While stirring our best Valrhona cocoa into the batter, was struck by its incongruity alongside childhood-favourite, supermarket-aisle confectionery pressed into the mixture. Old habits and tastes die hard.
